GET INVOLVED
Fun ideas for individuals, groups and businesses
Create your own fundraising event. Host a dinner party, organize a bake sale, car wash, karaoke contest or something totally different – we encourage thinking outside of the box.
Organize a backpack collection luncheon or dinner at your home. Give it an international theme such as “A taste of the world” featuring cuisine from around the globe. Ask friends to bring their favorite ethnic dish along with a backpack for a child in need.
Are you a worldwide adventurer or trekker? Host a slide-show party and ask your friends to enjoy learning about another culture while supporting one as well by bringing a backpack.
Ask your book club, school or business to organize a backpack collection drive. We can assist you with communication materials to share with your friends, members and co-workers.
Does your school’s Key Club need a great service project? Designate Global Backpack Project as your service project for the year.
Do you work at a corporation that can help us ship backpacks to underserved areas? We are looking for partners to help with shipping costs and distribution.
Help us raise awareness about our efforts. We can provide information for you to distribute to your audience such as an article for your company or church newsletter about how to get involved. Just let us know what kind of communication materials you need and we’ll help get the message out.
Make an in-kind donation by volunteering your professional skills. We’re 100 percent volunteer-fueled and always appreciate the help of talented writers, designers, fundraisers, photographers, multi-media experts, community organizers, event planners and folks skilled in logistics to help us get our message out and backpacks where they need to go.
